Camelot Warriors is a 1986 game from Dinamic, the Spanish studio behind many Spectrum hits of the decade. A medieval knight crosses forests, lakes and castles in search of mysterious objects that don't belong to his time, in that unmistakable Dinamic style.
In UsuArcade's ZX Spectrum Room you play it online, free, right in your browser: grab a desk, pick the tape off the shelf and, once the loading ritual is done, you're in.
History
Dinamic, founded in Madrid by the Ruiz brothers, was one of the big names of Spain's 1980s software boom, with games that sold well beyond Spain. Camelot Warriors came out in 1986 with cover art by Alfonso Azpiri, who illustrated countless tapes of the era.
Like many Dinamic games, it was known for being tough: enemies everywhere, tight jumps and very little mercy. It was the kind of game you played with a magazine open next to you, hunting for maps and tips.
How to play
You move the knight, jump and swing your sword at the enemies in your way. You need to explore each world until you find the object that doesn't fit the period and take it where it belongs. Jumps demand precision and the enemies never let up.
